We are all about tradition at Culley’s starting with our cafe in Fremantle, a place that is very special to us. We are the oldest cafe in Fremantle, we have been here since 1925, a time when these cars we’re driving around these streets.
Our family-oriented team at Culley’s takes pride in every single item that comes out of the bakery and kitchen. Our specialist bakery team and chefs work tirelessly to provide only the best for our state of Western Australia that we love so much.
The Culley’s story began on a Fremantle train in 1925. Edward and Alice Culley (pictured) met the owner of Abbott’s confectionary they got talking. Edward and Alice were looking to move their cafe to Fremantle and Mr Abbot was looking to sell. 15 Minutes later the deal was done with an old fashioned handshake. What began on that train over 90 years ago is the Culley’s we know today.
The Culley’s story has been running for four generations. Dick and Ted took over from Edward and Alice, Darrell Culley and Bob Wegner continued the tradition, today the Culley’s business in the hands of Michael Culley and Melissa Culley.
